Summary0000138: Kerning ONLY in Word, but not in Windows Font Preview
DescriptionIf I open the final created TTF with the Windows preview or I use it with the Windows API function "GetCharacterPlacement", any kerning won't be used. All letter pairs have the same distance between them.
BUT: MS Word 2010 USES the kerning information (if I enable kerning)! So there IS kerning information available in my ttf file. :-?
Steps To Reproduce- Created font
- Added several kerning pairs (no classes, only single letter pairs)
- Use it in word (enable kerning) ===> kerning WILL be used!
- Use Windows preview ===> NO kerning will be used!
- Use the GetCharacterPlacement function ===> NO kerning will be used!
Additional InformationWindows preview ==> the windows tool, which opens on double click onto *.ttf files with the nice "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" text ;-)

Both (Windows preview and GetCharacterPlacement function) use kerning in other fonts like Arial.

You've created a very nice software! ;-)

Thank you for the report. The kerning problem is probably due to a bug in Windows but I will try to reproduce it.
