Stylistic Alternates


Alternates provides a way to put several glyphs on the same Unicode character and selecting which glyph should be displayed when the font is used.



1. Open the overview tab and select the character you want to create an alternate for.

2. Click on the alternate button in the lower left corner.



3. Click on Stylistic Alternate (salt) in order to create a new alternate glyph.

4. Select a name for the new glyph. In this example, &.alt was used as the name for the alternative ampersand sign.



5. Draw the new variation.
